GIRARD - Louis A. Michaels, 52, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016, at his home.

Louis was born April 24, 1964, in Youngstown, and was a lifelong area resident.

He was a graduate of Girard High School and worked as a bricklayer with the Bricklayers Local No. 43 since 1988. Lou was a member of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers.

Mr. Michaels was a member of St. Rose Church in Girard.

He greatly enjoyed hunting, fishing, the outdoors, and riding his motorcycle. Lou especially enjoyed the time he spent with his family and friends.

Lou leaves his wife, Debbie Williams Michaels, whom he married March 28, 2016; his sister, Michelle Michaels; his brother, Thomas Michaels; two stepdaughters, Kelly (Brandon) Quarles of Seguin, Texas and Michele Feorene of Maui, Hawaii; and two grandchildren, Baylor and Mya.

His father, Dr. Daniel Michaels, preceded him in death.

Family and friends are welcome to attend a celebration of Lou's life, which will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today, Wednesday, Nov. 9, at Amen Corner, 20 W. Main Street, Girard

Arrangements have been entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home, 222 S. State St., Girard.
