AUSTINTOWN - Louis Hunter Giacometti, 66, passed away April 7, 2020, at his home.

Louis, who went by his middle name of Hunter, was born Sept. 26, 1953, in Bellaire, the son of the late Benny and Mary Jane Irwin Giacometti, and came to the Youngstown area in the mid-1990s from Shadyside, Ohio.

He graduated from Shadyside High School in 1972, and as a young man attended the Lincoln Avenue United Methodist Church in Shadyside.

Hunter worked in Youngstown doing odd jobs, including working for local florists for a few years and working at Dillard's in the Southern Park Mall.

He enjoyed sightseeing, the outdoors, walking, travel, and reading.

Hunter leaves three children, Summer Giacometti of Columbus, Kyle Giacometti of Cincinnati, and Ryan Giacometti of Columbus, and a half-brother, William "Bill" Weisman of Surprise, Ariz.

Due to the current virus pandemic, no public calling hours or services will be scheduled during this time.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home in Youngstown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Hunter's name to the Shadyside High School Alumni Assn: P.O. Box 176, Shadyside, OH 43947; or to the Shadyside High School Athletic Department.
