BOARDMAN - Lorgia "Gloria" Arroyo, 88, formerly of Liberty Township, passed away peacefully, Thursday afternoon, February 13, 2025, at Greenbrier Healthcare Center.

Lorgia was born March 2, 1936, in Coamo, Puerto Rico, a daughter of the late Ramon and Nelida Fernandez. As a young woman, she journeyed to the United States, initially making her home in Salem before settling in Liberty Township, where she built a life devoted to faith, family, and kindness.

A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Gloria dedicated herself wholeheartedly to caring for her family. Her selfless spirit and warm heart left a lasting impact on everyone she met. She was a cherished member of the Evangelical Church of God, where her faith and generosity shone brightly.

Gloria will always be remembered for her unwavering love and devotion to her children and grandchildren, always putting their needs before her own. She was a beacon of kindness, ever willing to lend a helping hand and offer words of encouragement to those in need.

Gloria is survived by her six children, Janet Wright, Olga Figueroa, Jose Figueroa, Laura Figueroa, Andres (Jennie) Figueroa and Joselito Figueroa; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three brothers, Carlos, Manuel and Luis. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will forever hold her in their hearts.

Her husband, Rev. Justo M. Arroyo Jr., whom she married October 5, 1983, died March 19, 2018. A brother, Osvaldo and two sisters, Elsie and Marina also preceded Gloria in death.

Family and friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at Kinnick Funeral Home 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown, where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m.

Interment will follow at Belmont Park Cemetery where Gloria will be laid to rest beside her husband.
