YOUNGSTOWN - Lois Jean Morthland, 68, passed away Aug. 7, 2018, at her home of natural causes.

Lois was born Sept. 8, 1949, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Joseph and Betsy Morthland, and was a lifelong area resident.

She was a graduate of North High School in Youngstown, and worked for Lawson's Dairy on McGuffey Road and for ReSash Windows.

Lois was of the Christian faith. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting, playing cards, and was a true animal lover. She also enjoyed spending time with friends, especially those from her neighborhood. Lois will always be remembered as a very "happy lady."

Lois is survived by a brother, Robert Morthland, of Norfolk, Va.; a sister, Millie Reed of Bangor, Maine; two sisters-in-law, Shelly Morthland and Mary McIntroy; and nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Lois was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph Morthland and James McIntroy; and by a sister and her husband, Shirley Evans and David Evans, Sr.

Per Lois's request, there will be no calling hours. Private services were held.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home in Youngstown.
