YOUNGSTOWN - Linda Hernandes, 72, passed away Friday morning, Oct. 11, 2019, at her home.

Linda was born in Youngstown on Dec. 6, 1946, and was the daughter of the late Frank and Jeanne Balas.

She was a 1964 Chaney High School graduate and a member of St. Brendan Church in Youngstown. Linda worked different jobs, from office work to factory work, and her final job was working at Beatitude House for 14 years as Housing Secretary and as the Administrative Assistant.

She leaves to cherish her memory her nephew, Michael (Angelica) Mrakovich of Poland; a niece, Leigh Ann (Jason) Hillegas of Glenshaw, Pa.; four great-nephews, Kincaid and Peyton Mrakovich, and Sam and William Hillegas; and two great-nieces, Kate and Lily Hillegas.

Besides her parents, a sister, Priscilla Mrakovich, is deceased.

There are no calling hours or services.

Committal will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown, where Linda will be laid to rest near her parents and sister, uniting them again.

Arrangements were entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown.
