MEMORIAL SERVICE AT FUNERAL HOME IS NOW SCHEDULED

AUSTINTOWN - Linda Kay Cavender, 65, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes, Monday, Sept. 25, 2017, at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.

Linda was born March 12, 1952, in Key West, a daughter of James and Lois Miller Cavender. She came to this area as a teen with her family in 1966, and was a graduate of Austintown Fitch High School.

After graduation, Linda earned a cosmetology license and worked as a cosmetologist in this area before moving to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. There, she was the owner/operator of Cavender Studio of Hair Design, as well as a teacher at the beauty school.

Linda returned to this area in 2010.

Linda is survived by her mother, Lois Cavender, with whom she made her home; two brothers, Larry (Dea) Cavender and David Cavender, each of Austintown; and several nieces and nephews.

Her son, Charles Samuels II; her father, James; and her husband, Charles Samuels, are deceased.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown.

A memorial service will take place at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 17, at the funeral home.
