AUSTINTOWN - Kristen A. Brennan, 61, passed away peacefully Thursday morning, May 25, 2017, at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown, following an extended illness.

Kristen was born Feb. 14, 1956, in New Castle, Pa., a daughter of the late S. Paul and Gertrude Mikuc Fletcher, and came to the Youngstown area in 1995.

She was a 1974 graduate of New Castle High School, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Westminster College in New Wilmington, Pa. Kristen later earned a Masters Degree in Marketing from Youngstown State University.

In the 1970s, Mrs. Brennan worked for the Lawrence County CETA Program, and in the 1980s, she worked for Universal Rundle Corp. in New Castle.

In her younger years, Kristen enjoyed the art of belly dancing. She loved performing as a clown with Clowns of America, enjoyed traveling, was fanatic about non-American cuisine, and she loved to cook. Mrs. Brennan also truly enjoyed nature and she had fun feeding the birds and squirrels.

Kristen leaves her husband, Brian K. Brennan, whom she married June 17, 1995.

Family and friends may gather from 6 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, May 30, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown, to celebrate Kristen's life and to honor her memory.

Memorial contributions may be made in Kristen's name to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St., Boardman, OH  44512.
