YOUNGSTOWN - Kevin A. Moritz, 51, of the city's west side, passed away unexpectedly late Sunday evening, Dec. 3, 2017, at his home.

Kevin was born March 30, 1966, in Youngstown, a son of Joseph and Shirley Bell Moritz, and was a lifelong area resident.

He was a 1984 graduate of Chaney High School, and attended Choffin Career Center for mechanics. Kevin worked many jobs, including employment with Meander Tire, Maui Toys, and Blue Beacon Truck Wash, just to mention a few.

Kevin was a very friendly and outgoing person who easily made friends with everyone. He enjoyed listening to music and being with his family and friends.

Kevin is survived by his daughter, Mianisha Dozier of Columbus; his mother, Shirley Moritz of Youngstown; two brothers, Ronald Moritz (Sandy Brajer) of Youngstown and David Wilder of Youngstown; four sisters, Angela Moritz (Robert Rainey) of Brookfield, Pamela (Brian) Alexi of Howland, April Wilder (Charles Foley) of Youngstown, and Rachel Wilder (Antwane Robinson) of Youngstown; and many nieces and nephews.

Kevin will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph, and his brother Stephen.

Family and friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m., Friday, Dec. 8, at Kinnick Funeral Home in Youngstown, where funeral services will take place at 5 p.m.

Due to Kevin's unexpected passing, his family asks that memorial contributions be made to the funeral home to help with final expenses.
