MCDONALD — Katherine A. “Kathy” Skruck, 82, passed away Saturday morning, Oct. 10, 2026, at Hospice House, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family.

Kathy was born April 15, 1944, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Kukura Golubic, and was a lifelong McDonald resident.

She was a 1962 graduate of McDonald High School and dedicated her life to her family, finding her greatest happiness in caring for those she loved.

Kathy was a member of Queen of Heaven Parish, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. She enjoyed shopping and traveling, especially when those adventures were shared with her family. Above all, Kathy treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren, who were truly the center of her world. She took great pride in each of them and especially enjoyed attending their sporting events, always happy to be there supporting them.

A devoted wife, loving mother and proud grandmother, Kathy's family meant everything to her. The countless memories they shared will be treasured for years to come, and the love for her family is the greatest gift she leaves behind.

Kathy is survived by her husband of 59 years, Paul Skruck, whom she married June 17, 1967; her three daughters, Maryann (George) Bucan of McDonald, Donna (Eric) Shields of McDonald and Paula (Breen) Durkin of Girard; her four grandchildren, Jack Bucan, Logan Shields, Molly Durkin and Henry Durkin; her sister, Karen (Rolly) Ryan of Ashtabula; her two brothers, Andy (Sandee) Golubic of Cortland and Paul (Valerie) Golubic of Clarion, Pa.; several nieces and nephews; and extended family members.

Forever loved, deeply missed and never forgotten by all.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2026, at Queen of Heaven Parish, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 618 Ohio Ave., McDonald. All are welcome to attend.
