YOUNGSTOWN - Judith M. “Judy” Zarconi, 74, died Monday afternoon, Dec. 15, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital, following a brief illness.
Judy was born July 5, 1951, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Robert Murphy and Ruth Carney Murphy, and was a lifelong area resident.
She was a 1969 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School and devoted many years to her work and community. Judy was employed as a cashier at Walmart in Austintown for 20 years. Prior to that, she worked at G.C. Murphy in Mahoning Plaza and Conroy’s IGA in Youngstown. In her younger years, she was employed at Packard Electric in Warren.
Mrs. Zarconi was a member of Wedgewood Park Evangelical Church. A breast cancer survivor for 12 years, Judy faced life with quiet strength and gratitude. She enjoyed arts and crafts, reading and playing games on her phone, as well as working jigsaw puzzles. Judy also enjoyed collecting eagles and listening to Christian music, especially old hymns. Above all, she treasured the time she spent with her family.
Judy leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 53 years, Anthony Zarconi, whom she married May 4, 1974; three children, Shawn Michael Zarconi of Akron, Sheila Michelle Zarconi of Akron and Laura Leigh Zarconi of Youngstown; a grandson, Hunter Michael Zarconi of Youngstown; three sisters, Yvonne Murphy of Atlanta, Diana Lawrence of Newark, Ohio, and Janet Wolfe of Omaha, Nebraska; as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Family and friends are welcome to attend a memorial service at noon Saturday, Jan. 10, 2026, at Wedgewood Park Evangelical Church, 1944 S. Meridian Road, Youngstown, where a luncheon will be served following the service.
In lieu of flowers, Judy’s family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home in Youngstown.
