CLINTON, Tenn. - Judith Ann Davies, 87, died Sunday, March 30, 2025, after an extended illness, with her family by her side.

Judy, as she was affectionately known, was born Jan. 25, 1938, in Canfield, Ohio a daughter of the late Joseph C. Greasel and Ethel L. (Greasel) Beard.

She was a 1956 graduate of Canfield High School.  After graduation, she worked for Donnell Ford, and later for Drs. Goodman and Malkoff.  In 1957, she married Douglas V. Davies in Canfield Christian Church.

Judy resided in Canfield until 1983, where she was active in the school system, and served as PTA president. A highlight of her life was spending time with many young ladies while being a Brownie and Girl Scout leader of Troop 45.  She cherished her family, extended family members, and many friends, and was known as a loving and nurturing person.

In 1983, Judy and Doug moved to the Dallas/Fort Worth area, where she worked for Bank of America and retired in 2005 as an assistant vice president and commercial loan officer. That same year, they relocated to Kingston, Tenn., to retire in a riverfront home.  In 2023, Judy and Doug moved to Clinton, TN in order to be closer to one of their daughters, and their great-grandchildren.

She was a much loved  wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and a fantastic role model.

Judy leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Doug; her daughters, Melanie Davies (Jeff Brown) of Oak Ridge, Tenn., and Tamara Davies of Clinton; her brother in law, William Davies of Boardman, Ohio; one grandchild; three great-grandchildren, Shane, Claire and Erik; and many beloved nieces and nephews, extended family members and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Joseph Greasel; a sister, Jane Ann Greasel; and several  beloved family members, including Sydney and May Davies, William and Vi Vaughan, Kenneth and Ivy Davies, Audrey and Gerald Fountain, James and Margaret Ann Davies, Richard Davies and Heather Davies.

Family and friends may call from 2 to 3 p.m. Friday, June 6, 2025, at Kinnick Funeral Home 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown where a memorial service will take place at 3 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donation be made to Alzheimer's Association in Judy's memory.
