IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Joseph Dallas
Pasquerilla
December 7, 1946 – May 24, 2025
MASURY - Joseph Dallas Pasquerilla, 78, passed away peacefully, Saturday evening, May 24, 2025, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his family.
Joseph was born Dec. 7, 1946, in Sharon, Pa., a son of the late Joseph and Mary Smoot Pasquerilla, and was a lifelong area resident.
He was a 1964 graduate of Brookfield High School and went on to earn a bachelor's degree in history education from Fairmont State University in West Virginia. He later received a master's degree in education with a focus in counseling and administration from Youngstown State University.
Joe began his career teaching history and coaching basketball at Badger High School before becoming a guidance counselor and athletic director with the Pymatuning Valley School District, where he worked until retiring in 1999. He also owned and operated P-Jays Sporting Goods in Brookfield for nearly 50 years. Joe enjoyed spending his retired days at Bob's Barber Shop where he enjoyed haircuts, fellowship and food. Joe never missed a sporting event- kids, grandkids, nieces/nephews. Joe could always be found helping the "underdog."
In his younger years, Joe enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a dedicated basketball player. Joe was voted All Steel Valley First Team in the 1960s. He was always a devoted fan of the Cleveland Indians — now Guardians — and, above all, loved spending time with his family. Joe was an avid softball player, earning the Steel Valley Slow Pitch MVP on his Teenie's Tavern team in the 1970s. He enjoyed testing his luck on horse racing and growing his tomato plants.
Joe is survived by his wife of 45 years, Ann DePiore Pasquerilla, whom he married Dec. 15, 1979; his three children, Joseph (Felicia) Pasquerilla, Rachel (Dan) Kallin and Michael (Melissa) Pasquerilla; and seven grandchildren, Nico and Gianna Pasquerilla, Dallas and Rhett Kallin, twin girls, Parker and Paisley Pasquerilla and Joseph Pasquerilla.
He also leaves his sister-in-law, Joni (Tim) Reardon, who was especially close to Joe; their children, Grace, Will, Lucy and Dan; his siblings, Virginia Pasquerilla, Mary (Jesse) Piper and Amy (Dennis) Fitzgerald; his loyal friend and longtime employee, Dan Queale; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Debra Pasquerilla, and his brothers, Nick and Paul Pasquerilla.
Per Joe's request there are no calling hours or services.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home in Girard.
