MINERAL RIDGE - Joseph E. "Joe" Harver, 93, formerly of the city's west side, passed away Wednesday evening, January 31, 2024, at his home after a long and fulfilling life.

Joseph was born July 26, 1930, in Youngstown, a son of the late John and Anna Horney Harver and was a lifelong area resident.

Joe worked for the Cafaro Company, B & B Construction Company and retired from Operating Engineers Local 66 as a heavy equipment operator.

Mr. Harver was a member of the former Holy Name of Jesus Church.

Joe leaves to forever cherish his memory his wife of 72 years, Mary Strah Harver; his two sons, Ronald (Anita) Harver of Warren and John Harver of Austintown; his three grandsons, Jacob Harver, Eric Harver and Ian Harver and several nieces and nephews and extended family members.

Four brothers, Edward, Thomas, Andy and William Harver and two sisters, Margaret and Marilyn preceded Joe in death.

Family and friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Kinnick Funeral Home 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown where a funeral service will take place at 11 a.m.

Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown.
