SEATTLE - Joseph J. Dolak III, 70, passed away Jan. 16, 2017, in the emergency room at Valley Medical Center in Renton, Washington, returning to heaven to be with his Creator and many immediate family members, some who passed away before Joe had the opportunity to meet them on Earth.

Joe was born Dec. 3, 1946, the first son of Joseph J. Dolak Jr. and Virginia "Jean" Bernett Dolak, and lived in this area until moving to the Seattle area more than 20 years ago.

Joe was a 1964 graduate of Ursuline High School and a 1970 graduate of Youngstown State University, earning a degree in electrical engineering. During his engineering career he worked in the area of efficient electrical distribution, and his domestic solutions and systems operate in Cleveland, Houston, and Seattle. He also had other system designs that operate worldwide.

Mr. Dolak's interests and hobbies included flying vintage military aircraft, golf, pool, baseball, football, and politics.

Joe leaves his only sibling, Randall (Helen) Dolak; nephews, David, Nicholas, and Samuel; aunts, Doe Hoza, Elaine (Bill) McKee, Jean Randazzo; and several first cousins.

There are no calling hours. Private interment services took place Monday, Feb. 27, at Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown, with Msgr. Kenneth Miller officiating.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown.
