YOUNGSTOWN - Joseph Michael Belasco, 52, of the city's west side, passed away peacefully, Friday morning, July 12, 2024, at Hospice House.

Joseph was born October 19, 1971, in Youngstown, the beloved son of the late John Belasco and Mary Ann Perehinez Belasco and was a lifelong area resident.

He was a 1991 Graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School and worked at Giant Eagle for over 30 years.

He was a member of St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church and enjoyed watching sports and truly enjoyed life's simple pleasures.

Joey is survived by his sister, Mary Ann Belasco (Joe Jakovina) of Youngstown; his aunts, Rose Senvisky of Austintown, and Mary Pat Perehinez of Boardman; and cousin, Dana (David) Prologo and their children, Frankie and Gracie of Atlanta, GA.

Besides his parents, an aunt, Olga Fry and two uncles, Jack Fry and Joseph Perehinez preceded Joey in death.

A private graveside service was held at Belmont Park Cemetery where Joey was laid to rest with his mother.

Joey's family would like to extend a special thank you to Pam and Bob for giving Joey the opportunity to work at Giant Eagle for over 30 years. Many thanks also go to Cindy, Armando and Larry for sharing their love and kindness with Joey throughout the years.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home in Youngstown.
