POLAND - John R. Stoffel, 51, passed away Sunday night, Dec. 27, 2015, at his home with his wife by his side, following a courageous battle with cancer.

John was born April 26, 1964, in East Liverpool, a son of John C. and Judith Bucher Stoffel, and came to Youngstown with his family as a child.

John graduated from Chaney High School in 1982 and worked as an auditor at Packard Electric / Delphi in Warren for 32 years. Mr. Stoffel had also attended Youngstown State University, where he worked towards obtaining a civil engineering degree.

He enjoyed bowling, softball, baseball, and basketball, and he was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes' sports teams.

John leaves his wife, Carla K. Curry Stoffel, whom he married Oct. 28, 2006; three daughters; his mother, Judy Stoffel of Youngstown; three stepchildren, Eric DiNello of Bloomington, Ind., Nicholas DiNello of Canfield, and Alexis DiNello at home; and his brother, Jeffrey (Karina) Stoffel of Canfield.

John's father passed away in 2013.

Family and friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 2, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Road, Youngstown, where a memorial service will take place at 4 p.m.
