CANFIELD - John F. Conway, 63, passed away Wednesday afternoon, January 17, 2024, in the comfort of his home following a lengthy illness.

John was born January 19, 1961, in Cleveland, a son of Carl "Eddie" Conway and Darrellena Simpson Conway. He was raised in Cleveland and was a graduate of West Tech High School.

He proudly served in the United States Navy as a First Class Petty Officer and settled in Pensacola, Florida after being honorably discharged from the Navy. John then attended Pensacola State College and earned an associates degree. He subsequently attended University of West Florida where he earned a bachelors degree in computer science.

John worked or Wolters Kluwer Accounting Software Firm as a programmer for the last 27 years.

He enjoyed reading, watching horror movies, and was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes football team. If John was given a pen and paper, he was "good to go". Most of all, John enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

John leaves to forever cherish his memory his wife of 37 years, Tracey Johnson Conway whom he married April 2, 1986; his two daughters, Aliyah Conway of Pensacola, FL and Abigail (Tyler) Millard of Pensacola, FL; two grandchildren, Alina Conway and Bjorn "Christopher" Conway; his mother, Darrellena Conway of Parma; his sister, Jackie (Dave) Parkinson of Parma; his brother, Danny (Stacie) Conway of Cleveland and his faithful canine companions, Oreo, Jack and Minnie.

John's father, Carl "Eddie" Conway, preceded him in death.

Family and friends may gather to pay respects from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at Kinnick Funeral Home 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown.

Interment will follow at Green Haven Memorial Gardens in Austintown.
