AUSTINTOWN - Janice Ann Canacci, 79, passed away peacefully Sunday, June 23, 2024, in the comfort of her home with her family by her side.

Janice was born June 20, 1945, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Stephen and Vera Vallas Kutsko, and lived most of her life on the city's west side

She was a proud graduate of Chaney High School, class of 1963. Following graduation, Janice completed her training at a local cosmetology school. She then went to work as a beautician for nearly 45 years before she retired in 2010.

Janice was a member of St. Christine Church and a former member of St. Brendan Church, where she grew up.

If you knew Janice, you knew that you were always welcome in her home. She was known for her hospitality and delightful demeanor - always welcoming visitors with open arms, home cooked meals, and a splash in the pool. She loved to attend her grandchildren's events, family dinners, and holidays.

Janice is survived by her three sons, Brian Canacci of Boardman, Danny Canacci of Austintown and Keith (Erica) Canacci of Austintown and two grandsons, Aiden and Julian Canacci.

Besides her parents, two sisters, Norma Bettura and Marilyn Kutsko, and a brother-in-law, Sam Bettura preceded Janice in death.

Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at Kinnick Funeral Home 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Austintown.
