POLAND — James J. Losasso, 81, passed away Friday, May 9, 2025, at Park Center.
James was born April 28, 1944, in Youngstown, a son of the late James and Antonette Auriemma Losasso, and was a lifelong area resident. He was a 1962 graduate of South High School.
Jim was drafted out of college into the U.S. Army and proudly served during the Vietnam War.
He was a dedicated member and former post commander of American Legion Post 737 and was active with Dorchester Lodge 369 of Free and Accepted Masons, where he was honored as Mason of the Year in 2000. He also held membership with the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #213 in Youngstown and was a longtime supporter of Shriners Children's Hospital, especially its work with pediatric burn victims.
An avid golfer, Jim enjoyed the game and the camaraderie it brought him throughout the years.
His wife of 34 years, Eddie Magdalene Losasso, whom he married June 2, 1989, preceded him in death Nov. 19, 2023.
Per Jim's wishes, there were no calling hours or services. He was laid to rest with his beloved wife at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home in Youngstown.
