BOARDMAN — James A. Douglass, 72, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2025, at Park Center.

James was born Aug. 21, 1952, in Youngstown, a son of the late James and Juanita Douglass. He was a graduate of Struthers High School and, over the years, lived in Tennessee and Washington, Indiana, before returning to the Youngstown area.

He proudly served in the United States Navy and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. Over the years, Jim worked a variety of jobs, including building houses—work he especially enjoyed.

Jim is survived by his son, Jonathan Douglass.

Private services with military honors were held at Tod Homestead Cemetery in Youngstown.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home in Youngstown.
