YOUNGSTOWN - Jacquelyn E. Wagner, 74, passed away peacefully, Friday afternoon, July 19, 2024, at Hospice House.

Jacquelyn Was born October 16, 1949, in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Jack and Betty Slagle Hinrichs and was a lifelong area resident.

Jackie, as she was fondly known, was a proud graduate of Austintown Fitch High School, Class of 1968. She excelled academically, graduating 10th in her class, and showcased her leadership skills as the editor of the school newspaper. Her passion for organization and dedication to service led her to a fulfilling 25-year career as a clerk with the Bureau of Motor Vehicles - West Side Merchants, until her retirement.

An avid writer, Jackie contributed to several fan magazines, sharing her creativity and insights with fellow enthusiasts. Her love for flowers, especially her cherished roses, was well-known, and she had a remarkable green thumb. Jackie's heart was also captured by the adventures of "Star Trek," and she took great joy in collecting memorabilia from the beloved series.

Jackie is survived by her husband of 55 years, Frank W. Wagner III, whom she married September 19, 1969; her daughter, Dorothy L. (Randy) Skaggs of Glenford, OH ; her son, Frank W. Wagner IV and his wife, Luci of Simi Valley, California; five grandchildren; Sophia, Fiona, Samuel, Nathan and Skyla; three brothers, Thomas (Sue) Hinrichs of Stow, Jeffrey Hinrichs of Boardman and Tim (Rhonda) Hinrichs of Cortland and many extended family members.

Jackie will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held near Jackie's birthday in October.
