YOUNGSTOWN - Irene Eich, 92, of the city's west side, passed away peacefully early Monday morning, July 2, 2018, at Camelot Arms.

Irene was born Jan. 13, 1926, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late John Eich Sr. and Mary Vrabel Eich, and was lifelong area resident.

She was a graduate of Chaney High School and worked for many years at the Mahoning County Courthouse and for the Youngstown Police Department, retiring as a clerk/typist in 1986.

She was very health conscious throughout her life, and in her younger days enjoyed walking, jogging, and running to keep in shape.

Irene was a member of St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church in Youngstown.

Irene leaves two nephews; a niece; and several cousins and extended family members.

Three brothers, George, John, and Thomas Eich, are deceased

Family and friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m., Thursday, July 5, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown, where funeral services will take place at 11 a.m., with Rev. Richard Lambert officiating.

Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown.
