NILES - Henry E. Barrios, 68, passed away Saturday, Dec. 17, 2016, at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren.

Henry was born Aug. 22, 1948, in Youngstown, a son of the late Barnaby and Paula Medina Barrios, and was a lifelong area resident. He grew up in McDonald, where he was a 1967 graduate of McDonald High School.

Henry had several careers throughout his life, first working for U.S. Steel and later becoming the head chef for the former Alberini's Restaurant in Niles. Henry was also a chef at the Park Inn in Niles and worked at Delphi, retiring from there in 2007. Most recently, Henry worked at Margherita's in Girard.

Henry enjoyed cooking and he especially enjoyed the time he spent with his family.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 28 years, Peggy Barrios; two daughters, Christina (Bernard) Barrios-Herbert of Mineral Ridge and Renee (Robert) Crump of Mineral Ridge; six grandchildren, Thomas Pepe III, Sydney Pepe, Tayrn Herbert, Niya Herbert, Raelyn Crump, and Ryan Crump; two brothers, Felix Barrios of McDonald and Vince Barrios of Girard; a sister-in-law, Becky Barrios of Niles; and many nephews and extended family members.

A brother, Raymond Barrios, preceded Henry in death.

Family and friends are welcome to attend a celebration of Henry's life on Wednesday, Dec. 28, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the American Legion Hall, 11 High Street, Girard.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home, 222 S. State St., in Girard.
