Obituary

AUSTINTOWN - Helene C. Krispinsky, 89, passed away peacefully Easter Sunday, March 27, 2016, at Hampton Woods in Poland, following an extended illness.

Helene was born Nov. 27, 1926, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late John and Caroline Bak Pahut, and was a lifelong area resident.

She was a 1940 graduate of St. Stanislaus Kostka Grade School and a was a 1944 graduate of South High School.

Mrs. Krispinsky was a member of St. Christine Church in Youngstown, the Infant Jesus of Prague Guild, the Polish National Alliance Group, No. 827, and of the PRCU Local No. 47.

Her beloved husband of nearly 58 years, the love of her life, John "Ben" Krispinsky, whom she married May 29, 1948, in St. Stanislaus Church in Youngstown, passed away May 3, 2006.

Helene leaves two sisters, Adele Glista of Youngstown and Mary Sympson of Poland; and many special nephews and nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces, and great-great-nephews and great-great-nieces.

Besides her wonderful husband, Helene was preceded in death by two brothers, Staff Sgt. Stanley Pahut, killed in action in Italy during World War II, and Paul "Brownie" Pahut; and two sisters, Joanne Pahut and Sr. Mary Maximina, O.F.S.

At Helene's request, there are no calling hours. Family and friends may gather from 1 to 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 30, at St. Christine Church, on the corner of South Schenley Avenue and Canfield Road in Youngstown, and are welcome to attend her Mass of Christian Burial that will take place at 1:30 p.m.

A committal service will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown, where Helene will be laid to rest next to her husband.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown.

Helene's family thanks the staff of Hampton Woods, and the staff of Hospice of the Valley, for the kindness shown and care given to Mrs. Krispinsky during her illness.
