YOUNGSTOWN - Helen Hromyak, 96, passed away Monday afternoon, Feb. 6, 2017, at Oasis Living Center in Youngstown.

Helen was born Feb. 20, 1920, a daughter of the late John and Sue Hromyak. She was raised in Struthers, graduated from Struthers High School, and lived in this area nearly all of her life.

Helen was an honorably-discharged United States veteran, serving in the Women's Army Corps during World War II, and later worked for the Youngstown City Schools.

She leaves a brother, Joseph Hromyak of Boardman; a sister, Marty Reef of Amarillo, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

A brother, Mike, and four sisters, Sue, Ann, Dolores, and Katherine, are deceased.

There are no calling hours. Graveside services will take place at 11:30 a.m., Monday, Feb. 27, at St. John Cemetery on Villa Marie Road in Coitsville.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown.
