Gregory Lynn Golden

YOUNGSTOWN — Gregory “Greg” Lynn Golden passed away peacefully Thursday, April 9, 2026, at Hospice House.

Greg was born in North Vernon, Indiana, where he built deep roots and cherished lasting memories with those who knew and loved him.

Greg was a man defined by his caring heart, unwavering dedication and selfless spirit. Outgoing and full of life, he was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Above all, Greg lived as a Christian man, carrying his faith in the way he loved others, served his community and walked through life with compassion and humility. He was honored to receive his pastoral license, a reflection of his commitment to sharing his faith and uplifting those around him.

Greg found joy in life’s simple, meaningful moments. He enjoyed working on cars, fixing anything he could get his hands on, mowing the grass and cheering on his favorite team, the Indianapolis Colts. He cherished fellowship with others and could often be found enjoying good conversation with a diet soda in hand. His presence brought comfort, laughter and a sense of peace to all who knew him.

Greg leaves to cherish his memory his sister, Leisa Trapp of North Vernon, Indiana; his great-nephew, Donny (Madison) Grigsby Jr. of Columbus, Indiana; and his beloved great-great-nieces and nephews, Emberleigh, Emmanuel and El’ani Grigsby.

He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Golden; his mother, Barbara Golden; and his nephew, Donny Grigsby Sr.

Greg will be remembered for his kind soul, strong faith and the love he gave so freely. His legacy lives on in the hearts of his family and all who were blessed to know him.

“May God always grant you always…
A sunbeam to warm you, a moonbeam to charm you,
A sheltering Angel so nothing can harm you.
Laughter to cheer you. Faithful friends near you.
And whenever you pray, Heaven to hear you.”
