Gerald, who was known to all as "Jack," was born April 15, 1933, in Youngstown, a son of the late Raymond and Dora Wilcox Granger, and lived most of his life in this area.

Jack was a graduate of Struthers High School and worked for Joseph Bucheit & Sons. He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local No. 66.

Mr. Granger belonged to Bethel Lutheran Church in Boardman. He was an avid fisherman and loved boating on Mosquito Lake in Trumbull County. Jack was a huge fan of the Cleveland Browns, enjoyed painting, and had a mini-studio in his basement. He was also an animal lover, and he truly enjoyed the time he spent with his grandchildren.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 55 years, Suzanne E. Stoll Granger, whom he married May 25, 1963; three sons, Ron (Leslie) Granger of Liberty Township, Jon (Diana) Granger, and Greg (Paula) Granger of Peachtree, Ga.; 11 grandchildren, Courtney Wasko, Dr. Gerald Wasko, Krystle, Thomas, Shannah, Gabrielle Granger, Nicole Granger, Jonelle, Mason Granger, Jacob Granger, and Michael; and two great-grandchildren, Allannah and Nathan.
