WARREN - George E. Pupac, 88, formerly of Youngstown's west side, passed away peacefully Tuesday evening, Dec. 13, 2016, at White Oak Manor.
George was born April 24, 1928, in Youngstown, a son of the late George F. and Anna Jacob Pupac, and was a lifelong area resident.
Mr. Pupac was a graduate of Chaney High School and attended West Point Military Academy.
George was a mechanic for 30 years at the Steelton Garage, retiring in 1985. He was a licensed pilot and a member of the Junior Civil Air Patrol.
He was a hobbyist who enjoyed model planes and was a member of the Mahoning County Model Club.
Mr. Pupac was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, Holy Name of Jesus Church in Youngstown.
A sister, Ann M. Pupac, passed away in 1999.
Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m., Monday, Dec. 19, at Calvary Cemetery Chapel in Youngstown, with Rev. John Jerek officiating.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown.
