AUSTINTOWN - Fredeswinda Ruiz, 66, passed away peacefully at her home early Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 11, 2021, following a battle with renal failure and a heart ailment.

Fredeswinda was born Oct. 5, 1954, in Santurce, Puerto Rico, and was a daughter of the late Ines Arturet and Maria Luisa Pagan. She moved to this area in 2013.

Mrs. Ruiz was a member of Fountain of Grace Church in Campbell. A confessed "shop-a-holic" Fredeswinda also loved spending time with her family and her church family.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Ramon Ruiz, whom she married in 1975; four children, Carmen Ruiz (Omar Soto) of Lakeland, Fla., Luis (Ana) Ruiz, Momayra Ruiz (Angel Navarro) of Puerto Rico, and Pedro (Yaritza) Ruiz, with whom she made her home; several brothers and sisters; and many extended family members.

A son, Ramon Ruiz, preceded Fredeswinda in death.

Family and friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Friday Aug. 13, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown, where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m.

Committal will follow the funeral home services, and will be at Green Haven Memorial Gardens in Austintown.
