YOUNGSTOWN - Fred Earl McGuire, Jr., 68, formerly of Hubbard, passed away peacefully early Sunday morning, May 19, 2024, at Windsor House Guardian Healthcare Center.
Fred was born April 12, 1956, in Youngstown, a son of the late Fred E. McGuire Sr., and Myrtle O'Conner McGuire and was raised in Hubbard.
He was a graduate of Hubbard High School and worked at Stiver Chevrolet in Hubbard for many years. In addition to his work at the dealership, Fred assisted local farmers with farm chores and also worked with the St. Vincent DePaul Society.
Fred enjoyed farming, monster trucks and playing checkers. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Fred is survived by his wife, Sarah Rodrigues; his son, John McGuire of Youngstown; nine siblings, Nancy (Ron) Lattanzio of North Jackson, Peggy (Wendell) Miller of Youngstown, Linda (Tito) Rosa of Youngstown, Edna O'Conner (Fredrico Roberson) and Edwin (Mary) O'Conner of Youngstown, Jean (Mike) Kerr of Sharon, PA., Shirley Hartman of Youngstown, Betty (Jeff) Manning of Florida and John (Hazel) Arnold of Austintown; his aunt, Margaret Marshall of Champion; his uncle, Kenny Franklin of Youngstown and many nieces and nephews and extended family members.
Besides his parents, two sons, James Lee McGuire and Fred E. McGuire III also preceded Fred in death.
Family and friends are welcome to attend a graveside committal service at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at Green Haven Memorial Gardens 3495 S. Canfield Niles Rd., Canfield, OH 44406.
Fred's family would like to extend a heartfelt and sincere thank you to William George and they would also like to thank the staff at Windsor House at Guardian Healthcare for their kindness and compassionate care throughout the years.
