STOW - Frank David Dox, 76, formerly of Boardman, passed away Friday morning, July 6, 2018, at the Arbors at Stow following an extended illness.

Frank was born March 15, 1942, in Flint, Michigan, a son of the late Frank L. and Louise Edwards Dox, and came to this area to work at General Motors in Lordstown when the plant opened in the 1960s.

Frank graduated from Bethel High School in Pennsylvania, and served in the U.S. Navy after graduation. He also attended Pointe Park College in Pittsburgh for a time.

He is survived by two sisters, Louise Tanner of Butler, Pa. and Linda Weston of Charlevoix, Mich.

A private memorial service with military honors will take place at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home in Youngstown.
