GIRARD - Florence M. "Flo" Doran, 59, passed away peacefully, Friday afternoon, July 19, 2024, in the comfort of her home with her family by her side.

Florence was born October 10, 1964, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Andrew and Evelyn Venzeio Buonavolonta, and was a lifelong area resident.

She was a 1983 graduate of Girard High School and worked at Classic Optical, Santisi's Marketplace and WalMart in both Warren and Liberty Township while raising and caring for her family.

Flo was a member of St. Rose Church in Girard.

Flo's radiant personality made her the heart of her community. Whether she was enjoying sunny days or camping trips, she was always happiest when surrounded by family. Her front porch was a welcoming space where she shared countless laughs and stories with neighbors and friends.

Flo is survived by her husband of 37 years, Chuck Doran, whom she married August 15, 1987; her three children, Stephen Doran of Girard, Alexandrea (Anthony) Nadeja of Hubbard, and Mathew Doran of Girard; three grandchildren, Nicholas, Gia and Roman; her sister, JoAnn Trucksis of Girard; her brother, Vito (Regina) Buonavolonta of Boardman; her sister-in-law, Kathy Buonavolonta of Girard; many nieces and nephews and many, many friends.

Flo's bright spirit will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Besides her parents, two brothers, Frank C. and Andrew Buonavolonta, three nephews, Domenick Buonavolonta, Andrew "AJ" Hall, and Frank B. Buonavolonta, and a brother-in-law, Thomas Trucksis preceded Flo in death.

Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Kinnick Funeral Home 222 S. State St., Girard.

Funeral services will begin at 9:15 a.m. on Friday, July 26, 2024, at the funeral home and continue with a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Rose Church 48 E. Main St., Girard.
