AUSTINTOWN - Ethel Jean Buffa, 69, passed away peacefully early Friday morning, March 4, 2016, at her home.
Ethel Jean, known by her family as "Jean," was born Aug. 29, 1946, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Jack and Mildred Coyne Price, and lived most of her life in the Youngstown area.
She was a 1964 graduate of East High School, and she worked for General Electric, first at the Mazda Lamp Plant, and she retired from the Austintown Coil Plant.
Jean had been courageously battling multiple sclerosis for the past 37 years. She fought the good fight, and now enjoys her eternal promise of everlasting life.
Jean was of the Catholic faith. She enjoyed arts & crafts, animals (especially her service dog, Trudy), and she truly loved her family, especially her nieces and nephews.
Jean leaves two sisters, Susan Jones of Trumbull County and Connie (Bob) Mills of Youngstown; a brother, Roger Price of California; 12 nieces and nephews; 11 great-nieces and great-nephews; four great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; and her loving caregivers who will always have a special place in Jean's and her family's hearts.
A sister, Margaret "Peggy" Price, and a brother, Ronald Price, are deceased.
Per Jean's request, services are private.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Road, Youngstown.
Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown.
Jean's family thanks the staff with MVI Hospice for the kindness shown and care given to Jean and her family.
