Eric Todd Trautman

GIRARD - Eric Todd Trautman, 61, died unexpectedly, Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 17, 2026, while at work.

Eric was born July 20, 1964, in Nuremberg, Germany, a son of Donald W. Trautman and Carol Wells. He came to the United States as a child and spent most of his life in Girard.

A 1983 graduate of Girard High School, Eric dedicated many years of service to GLI Pool Products in Youngstown, where he served as head of maintenance. He was known for his strong work ethic, reliability and willingness to lend a helping hand.

Eric proudly served his country in the United States Navy for eight years. He carried that same sense of duty and commitment into all aspects of his life.

He found joy in life’s simple pleasures. Eric enjoyed fishing, bowling and reading. He was an avid viewer of British television on BritBox, a collector of Hot Wheels cars and a longtime fan of the band KISS, often attending concerts whenever he could. Above all, he treasured the time he spent with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren.

Eric leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 41 years, Leisa Haines Trautman, whom he married Jan. 19, 1985; two daughters, Erika Trautman and Heidi Trautman, both of Girard; two grandchildren, Brogan Trautman and Arianna Trautman; his mother, Carol Wells of Sharon, Pennsylvania; a sister, Shari (Bill) Allen of Florida; and many extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father.

In keeping with Eric’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or services.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home, Girard.
