Obituary

AUSTINTOWN - Elsie May Kaehler, 88, passed away Sunday morning, May 9, 2021, at The Woodlands at AustinWoods.

Elsie was born March 14, 1933, in Kincaid, Illinois, and was a daughter of the late Hobart D. Pruett and Delsie M. Brown Pruett. She came to this area in her 30s after living in California and Oregon, and lived the remainder of her life in this area.

Elsie owned and operated Kopper Kettle Eats & Sweets, and also worked in many restaurants and delis.

She leaves a sister, Sally (William) Dunlap of Austintown, with whom she made her home; many nieces and nephews, including Brett Pruett; a grandson, Shannon DeLeon; and a great-granddaughter, Stolas Krane.

A daughter, Reba Marie Wood, preceded her in death, and a sister, Betty Boyles is also deceased.

There are no local calling hours, and Elsie will be laid to rest next to her daughter in Redlands Pioneer Cemetery in Oregon City, Oregon.
