Obituary

NILES - Elizabeth Ann Budrevich passed away peacefully on Monday, April 8, 2025, just a few days after celebrating her 91st birthday.

Elizabeth was born April 4, 1934, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late James and Jessie Casey. She attended St. Stephen School and was a proud graduate of Niles McKinley High School, Class of 1952.

Elizabeth worked as Head Cashier at Loblaws Grocery Store for several years. It was during this time that she met and married the love of her life, Raymond A. Budrevich, on May 14, 1955. Together, they built a life filled with love, family, and adventure, sharing 64 beautiful years of marriage before Raymond's passing on October 11, 2019.

Known affectionately as "Lilly" by Ray, the couple shared a love for dancing to their favorite polka tunes and enjoyed countless trips together—especially to Las Vegas, the Caribbean, and various casino getaways with friends.

Elizabeth was a proud, long-time member of the Happy Chatter Club for over 50 years. She made dear friendships through the group and countless joyful memories. She also found great fulfillment in her later work at Puggy's Place and Hills Department Store.

A devoted Cleveland Browns fan, Liz rarely missed a game, cheering them on faithfully each week. She took great pride in following her grandchildren's musical and sporting events and was an avid reader, never missing a day without reading the newspaper cover to cover. Liz especially cherished vacations to visit her sister in Asheville, North Carolina. Her last vacation was to the Outer Banks, where she enjoyed watching the waves for hours.

Elizabeth leaves behind her children, Debra Maust of Niles, Raymond (Jacqueline) Budrevich and Susan (Robert) Carfolo of Mineral Ridge; her very much loved step-daughter, Roseanne (Steve) Mitsuhashi of Fort Worth, TX; her brother, James (Mary Ann) Casey of Niles; her seven beloved grandchildren, Mathew (Ariel) Maust, Erin (Patrick) Cox, Jacob Carfolo, Robert (Tara) Carfolo, Seann (Shelley) Carfolo, Ryan (Lauren) Mitsuhashi and Shannon (David) Smason; her eight great-grandchildren, Karli, Abigail, Caroline, Adeline, Jack, Austin, Ryleigh and Sally who she loved holding as infants.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her sisters, Doris Brabant, Eileen Carr, Vera Wilkinson, Shirley Smith and Mary Ellen Csernik as well as her brothers, Thomas, David and Charles Casey.

Family and friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at Kinnick Funeral Home 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown.

Family and friends may gather again from 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday, April 14, 2025, at the funeral home where a funeral service will take place at 11 a.m.

Interment will follow at Kerr Cemetery in Mineral Ridge where Elizabeth will be laid to rest beside her beloved Ray.

The family would like to thank the amazing staff at Aventura at Humility House who cared so well for Elizabeth during her stay.  Also, the Harmony Hospice Care nurses and staff who lovingly cared for their mother.
