Edward Charles Hickey

YOUNGSTOWN — Edward Charles Hickey, 86, passed away Thursday evening, June 4, 2026, at Oasis Center for Rehabilitation.

Edward was born April 14, 1940, in Youngstown, a son of the late Elmer and Bernice Brackett Hickey, and remained a lifelong area resident.

He was employed by A&P Grocery Stores and Stambaugh Thompson Hardware Stores during his working years. Edward will be remembered as a kind, gentle and lovable man who was cherished by those who knew him.

Edward is survived by severalextended family members and close friends who will miss him dearly.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary J. DiRando and Phyllis Jean Ensor.

Private interment took place at Tod Homestead Cemetery in Youngstown.
