AUSTINTOWN - Edward E. Edwards, 79, passed away peacefully late Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 6, 2017, at Austinwoods in Austintown after a battle with Alzheimer's, with his beloved and devoted wife of 51 years by his side, as she has always been.

Edward, who was known to all as "Eddie," was born Sept. 24, 1938, in Youngstown, a son of the late Donald and Esther Herman Edwards, and was a lifelong area resident.

Mr. Edwards attended South High School and proudly served in the U.S. Navy. He worked for Servomation and for the Lyden Oil Company.

Eddie leaves his wife, Shirley Fusco Edwards, whom he married Feb. 19, 1966; two daughters, Pamela A. Edwards of Austintown and Toni M. Edwards of Austintown; two grandsons, Eric and Caleb Edwards; two sisters, Carol (Donald) Bogart of Austintown and Judy (George) Gregg of Austintown; and two brothers-in-law, Tony (Helen) Fusco and Bob (Rita) Fusco.

A brother, Harry Edwards, and three sisters, Donna, Nadine, and Linda, preceded Eddie in death.

Per Eddie's request, there will be no calling hours or services.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown.
