Eddie Green Lilly

YOUNGSTOWN — Eddie Green Lilly, 61, passed away Friday, April 24, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital, surrounded by the love and comfort of his family, following complications from a stroke.

Eddie was born Dec. 13, 1964, in Brooklyn, New York, a son of the late Edgar Warner and Thelma Jones Green. He was raised in Brooklyn and came to the Youngstown area a year ago to be closer to his family.

He attended Boys and Girls High School in Brooklyn and worked in the food service industry for many years.

Eddie enjoyed music and proudly considered himself a “retired DJ,” often providing music and entertainment at gatherings for family and friends. He also loved cooking and earned the title of “Grill Master” among those who knew him best.

Eddie leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Nicole; his son, Eddie; three sisters, Naomi, Lynda and Dorothy; four brothers, Arthur, Sydney, Kevin and Jacob; his foster brother, Evander; and many extended family members and friends.

In addition to his parents, Eddie was preceded in death by his foster brother, Adrian.

A celebration of Eddie’s life will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday, May 15, 2026, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Road, Youngstown, where a service will take place at 3 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
