NEW MIDDLETOWN - Dwight F. Foor, 86, passed away peacefully, Saturday morning, August 3, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital with his family by his side.

Dwight was born November 9, 1937, in Everett, Pennsylvania, a son of the late Simon Foor and Alice Wilkerson Foor, and came to the Youngstown area in 1956.

He was a proud graduate of Everett High School and dedicated many years to Chuck Foster Trucking, retiring in 1991. Dwight was a member of Austintown Community Church.

An avid outdoorsman, Dwight found great joy in hunting and fishing. He was a valued member of the New Middletown Sportsman Club, where he shared his passion for the outdoors with fellow enthusiasts. His family often joked that his time with them was always cherished-except during hunting season!

Dwight is survived by his three children, Dwight A. (Debra) Foor of Lordstown, Elizabeth (Scott) Kale of New Middletown, with whom he shared his home, and Dwayne (Ellen) Foor of East Palestine; 10 grandchildren, Jordan Kale, Macy Kale, Ryan Foor, Brandon Foor and Joshua Foor, Samantha Scott, William Boyer, Jackie Herlinger, Bradley Miller and Chad Foor; 13 great-grandchildren with one "on the way," and many extended family members.

Dwight will be remembered for his kind heart, love of the outdoors, and unwavering devotion to his family. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

His beloved wife of 46 years, Evelyn Campbell Foor, whom he married May 17, 1958, died October 4, 2004.

A son, Jeffrey James Foor and 10 siblings also preceded Dwight in death.

Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today, Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at Kinnick Funeral Home 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown.

Family and friends may gather again from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at the funeral home where a funeral service will take place at 11 a.m.

Interment will follow at Green Haven Memorial Gardens where Dwight will be laid to rest beside his wife.
