WARREN - Dr. Marwan Riad Rouweyha, 90, passed away peacefully at home March 5, 2026, and was laid to rest at Tod Homestead Cemetery March 9, 2026.
A man of rare character and an unwavering moral compass, his legacy lives on through his devoted wife, Hoda Tabbara Rouweyha; his beloved sons, Dr. Rudy Rouweyha and his wife, Renee Burton Rouweyha, and Dr. Rajy Rouweyha and his wife, Rita Nasser Rouweyha; his beloved daughter, Randa Rouweyha, and her children, his treasures, Sara and Ramsey; his nephew, Al Moamin, whom he lovingly raised as a son, and his wife, Huda Obaid Moamin; and many cherished extended family members and dear friends who were blessed to know and love him.
At the center of Marwan’s life was his beloved wife Hoda, his sweetheart since the age of 17 and the great love of his life for nearly 74 years. Their devotion was a story for the ages, anchored by their mutual love of art and the beautiful home they built in Warren.
Born in Syria, Marwan’s path to medicine was marked by rigorous discipline. A distinguished orthopedic surgeon, his life was defined by healing. In 1975, after surviving a life-altering gunshot injury during the Lebanese Civil War, he rebuilt his life in the United States with remarkable determination to continue his calling of helping others.
Marwan will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, healer, humanist, poet, romantic, and a man of rare moral clarity who lived by the simple principles of love, respect, and forgiveness. If the world held more men like him, it would be a more peaceful, decent, and humane place.
