GIRARD - Douglas Gerald Eskay, 50, passed away peacefully Friday, April 18, 2025.

Douglas was born November 27, 1974, the son of Dr. Gerald and Marian Shaheen Eskay. He graduated from the Fairhaven Program and looked forward to going to work every day at the Fairhaven Workshop.

Doug loved cars and big trucks and enjoyed watching big machinery of any kind at work. He also enjoyed attending Scrappers games and volleyball and basketball games at YSU.

Doug was always trying to watch out for and help his younger brother, Matt, and his smile made you want to smile back. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Doug is survived by his parents, Dr. Gerald and Marian Eskay of Girard; his brother Matthew Eskay; his aunts, Diana Shaheen and Louise Eskay; as well as cousins, David Eskay, Craig Eskay and Erin Brown.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sid and Mary Shaheen and Andrew and Helen Eskay; aunts, Helen Marie Eskay and Jean Eskay; and uncles, Joseph Shaheen and Lawrence Eskay.

Family and friends may gather to pay respects from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Kinnick Funeral Home 222 S. State St., Girard, where a memorial service will take place at 7 p.m.
