Donna M. Berger

YOUNGSTOWN — Donna M. Berger, 53, of the city’s West Side, passed away peacefully Friday evening, Aug. 7, 2026, in the comfort of her home with her husband by her side.

Donna was born Sept. 25, 1972, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Irvin E. McClain Jr. and Roberta Huff McClain, and was a lifelong area resident.

She was a graduate of Chaney High School and worked at Canfield Industries for 15 years.

Donna especially enjoyed spending time with her husband, George. Together, they enjoyed taking little trips to Geneva-on-the-Lake and making their seasonal visits to Kraynak’s. Donna was a beautiful and loving wife, and the time she and George shared together created memories he will forever cherish.

Donna leaves to forever cherish her memory her husband, George Berger, whom she married Aug. 31, 2023; her mother, Roberta McClain of Mineral Ridge; her brother, David (Christine) McClain of Youngstown; her sister, Cindy Viets of Niles; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.

Donna was preceded in death by her father, Irvin E. McClain Jr.; and her sister, Julie McClain Hall.

A celebration of Donna’s life will be held at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home in Youngstown.
