BEAVERCREEK - Darrell L. Williams Jr., 55, passed away peacefully, Sunday morning, December 8, 2024, at Hospice of Dayton after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. He was surrounded by the love of his family.

Darrell was born January 4, 1969, in Youngstown, the son of Darrell L. Williams Sr., and Cherie Rice Williams. He grew up in McDonald, Ohio, where he proudly graduated from McDonald High School, Class of 1987. A passionate and determined learner, Darrell pursued higher education at Youngstown State University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering in 1991. His dedication to excellence led him to complete some graduate coursework at the University of Pittsburgh and various leadership and business training courses through the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Darrell's professional journey reflected his brilliance and commitment to innovation. Over the years, he held pivotal roles at Aristech, Sunoco Chemicals, and Braskem, ultimately serving as Executive Vice President at Advanced Composites in Sidney, Ohio.

Darrell leaves to forever cherish his memory his wife of 33 years, Carla Williams whom he married August 31, 1991; his two children, Victoria Williams and Kyle Williams; his parents, Darrell L. Williams Sr., and Cherie L. Williams of McDonald; two brothers, Dan (Debbie) Williams and Glenn (Traci) Williams, several nieces and nephews, and his loyal pug companion, Brutus.

Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, December 13, 2024, at Kinnick Funeral Home 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown.

Additional calling hours will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday December 14, 2024, at the funeral home, where a funeral service will take place at 11 a.m.

Entombment will follow at Green Haven Memorial Gardens in Austintown.
