GIRARD - Daniel Moadus, 78, passed away peacefully, Thursday evening, December 12, 2024, in the comfort of his home surrounded by the love of his family.
Daniel was born September 22, 1946, in Youngstown, a son of the late Daniel and Ann Rebracca Moadus. A lifelong resident of the area, he was a proud 1964 graduate of Girard High School.
Dan owned and operated American Auto Painting in Warren for more than 25 years, showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to his craft. He built and flew his own airplane, worked as a skilled motorcycle mechanic, and expressed his artistic side through oil painting and watercolors, with many of his works featured in The Butler Institute of American Art's Area Artists Show.
Dan had a deep love for learning and embraced new hobbies with enthusiasm. He enjoyed fishing, reading, and exploring political discussions. A lifelong animal lover, Dan cherished the companionship of his two beloved dogs, Duke and Niki. Above all, he valued time spent with family and friends, often gathering in his driveway to share stories and countless cups of coffee.
