GIRARD - Catherine M. Wyko, 96, passed away peacefully early Monday morning, Nov. 14, 2016, at ValleyCare Northside Medical Center in Youngstown, following a brief illness.

Catherine was born Aug. 7, 1920, in Girard, a daughter of the late Joseph and Caroline DiCesare Sabino, and was a lifelong area resident.

She worked for many years at Warren General Hospital.

Catherine was a member of St. Rose Church in Girard.

She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, Jack (Donna) Wyko of Warren and Joe Wyko of Hartford; three grandchildren, Cara Ann (Dominic) Venetti, Jim (Mary Beth) Wyko, and Jessica (Joe) Bradbury; five great-grandchildren; four sisters, Jean Mislai of Girard, Mary Ann Adams of Karns City, Pa., Lucille Chiodo of West Middlesex, Pa., and Joann Biamonte of Girard; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

A daughter, Donna Jean Wyko, a sister, Frances Trombetta, and three brothers, Peter, John, and Louis Sabino, preceded Catherine in death.

Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, Nov. 18, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 222 S. State St., Girard.

Family and friends may also call from 10 to 10:30  a.m., Saturday, Nov. 19, at the funeral home, where funeral services will take place at 10:30 a.m.

Entombment will follow at Girard City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Catherine's family suggests memorial contributions be made in Catherine's name to St. Rose Church, 48 E. Main Street, Girard, OH 44420.
