AUSTINTOWN - Carla Slack, 57, departed for heaven late Monday afternoon, Sept. 24, 2018, passing away at Briarfield Manor.

Carla was born Jan. 20,1961, in Greenville, Pa., and shared her life with her Ohio Shared Living caregiver, Peggy Brink, and her roommate, Oliva. Carla was loved by everyone at No Limits Alternative Center and at Turning Point, and she was blessed to have love and compassion from her APSI guardians, and from Heather H. from MCDDD.

Carla's smile could light up the room, and she changed so many lives with her unconditional love. Those that cared for her on a daily bases will truly miss her laugh, and include Johnnie D., Tina S., Francine B., Nichelle F., Laura L., Tomesha N., Elizabeth Z., Tracey T., Angel M., Kayla B., Jackie K., Jessica A., and Eric R.

Family and friends are welcome to call from 11 to 11:30 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 4, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown, where a memorial service follow at 11:30 a.m.
