Brandon W. Michaels

CORTLAND – Brandon W. Michaels, 77, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026, at Hospice House.

Brandon was born April 7, 1949, in Youngstown, a son of the late William and Patricia (Kearney) Michaels.

He lived in the Mahoning Valley for most of his life and spent 12 years residing in Florida before returning to the area in 2025.

Brandon was employed by General Motors in Lordstown for 39 years before retiring. During his career, he served for many years as a union representative and was a member of United Auto Workers Local 1112.

In his leisure time, Brandon enjoyed traveling, golfing and trading stocks. He was a devoted Notre Dame football fan and was also fond of animals, especially the companionship of his cat, Pepper and dog, Ernie.

Brandon leaves his wife, Susan (Spade) Michaels, whom he remarried June 28, 2019; his daughter, Kristen (Gus) Johnson; his granddaughter, Lucia; his siblings, Patricia Ferruccio, Pamela (Joe) Martuccio, William “Mike” Michaels and Susan Stephenson; his niece, Maria Jackson; and his nephew, Joshua Jay.

In accordance with Brandon's wishes, there will be no calling hours or services.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home in Girard.
