IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Bonnie Marie
Putt
August 6, 1952 – February 19, 2025
YOUNGSTOWN - Bonnie Marie Putt, 72 of Youngstown's north side entered into eternal life on Wednesday, February 19, 2025.
Bonnie was born August 6, 1952, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Edward Berry and Betty Smith Berry. A lifelong local, she graduated from The Rayen School in 1970 and went on to forge a meaningful life as a dedicated beautician, mother, and friend. Her recollections of beauty shop days remind us of the warmth and community spirit she shared with everyone around her.
Bonnie enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially cherishing moments with her two grandchildren. Known for her generous heart, she loved hosting large holiday gatherings where her hearty meals and famous cheesecake brought loved ones together. A passionate gardener with a green thumb, Bonnie nurtured a collection of unique houseplants, and found joy in sharing moments on the porch over a cup of coffee with family and friends. Her affection for opals, flowers, and angels mirrored the luminous spirit and kindness that defined her life. Always ready with a listening ear and kind words, Bonnie's generosity and loving nature were a guiding light to everyone she encountered.
Bonnie leaves behind her two daughters, Heather (Jim) Bielik, and Kimberly (Ed) Smotrilla, both of Youngstown; her two grandchildren, Aurora and Edward Smotrilla Jr.; her four sisters, Diane (John) Mahinis of Hermitage, Maureen (Chuck) Cook of Hubbard, Hollie (Dave) Baker of Canfield, and Liz (Augie) D'Amato of Youngstown. Bonnie also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, a great-great nephew, cousins, extended family, and friends that she loved dearly.
Bonnie touched the lives of many and her presence will be greatly missed.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass which will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at St. Dominic Church 77 E. Lucius Ave. Youngstown.
