IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Bonnie Lee
Lisowski
October 8, 1942 – March 20, 2016
YOUNGSTOWN - Bonnie Lee Lisowski, 73, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday evening, March 20, 2016, surrounded by her four loving sons, her daughters-in-law, her grandchildren, her brother, and her very special niece and nephew, when she passed away at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.
Bonnie was born Oct. 8, 1942, in Sharon, Pa., a daughter of the late Frank and Sarah Dilley Hughes, and came to Youngstown with her family as a child.
Bonnie loved to spend time with her family and would share for hours her life experiences, which were informative, educational, and often comical. She also enjoyed spending time reading paperback romance and suspense novels, and she loved watching "her little Emmy," her granddaughter, Emily, dance. Bonnie knew a lot about cooking, and held in her mind a cookbook that would make Betty Crocker jealous.
Mrs. Lisowski taught her sons unconditional love by setting an example of always putting others before herself. No matter what life put in her path, she never complained, but always worried about someone else she thought was worse off. This last fact was proven over and over again by her lifelong loyalty to the Cleveland Browns.
A wonderfully spiritual woman, Bonnie loved the Lord Jesus Christ and enjoyed listening to His Living Word being read. She looked forward to the day she would walk in Paradise with her husband and soulmate, Donald Lisowski Sr., to whom she was married for 38 years before his death in 1998.
Her memory will be honored and cherished by four sons, Charles Lisowski, who cared for her and made his home with her, Donald Jr. (Lettie) Lisowski of Campbell, Paul (Denise) Lisowski of Boardman, and Raymond (Jackie) Lisowski of Pulaski, Pa.; five grandchildren, Richard (Nesha) Lightbody and David Lightbody, both of Campbell, Emily and Matthew Lisowski, both of Boardman, and Austin Lisowski of Pulaski; a sister, Clarissa Means of Boardman; a loving brother, Keith Raymond, who cared for her and with whom she also shared her home; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her beloved husband and parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her stepfather, Albert Raymond, and her younger sister, Priscilla Kester.
Per Bonnie's wishes, private services will be held at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Road, Youngstown.
